Overview
Three weeks of facilitated partner-acrobatics skills training at Osega — a fully equipped gymnastics gym with two sprung floors, a tumble track, 6 sets of safety lines, spotting blocks, crash pads, trampoline and foam pit. No partner required for either track.
Weeks 1-2 run two concurrent tracks; week 3 combines both groups into one. You cannot join for week 3 only — the program is too far progressed by then. Joining all weeks is recommended but not required.
Track A (lower intermediate): focuses on spotting technique, refining low balance skills (regular/reverse F2H & H2H), smoothing L-basing transitions, consistency in jump-ins to standing H2H, stability in 2-high/F2H/H2H, timing for standing lifts (bird, side star), foundations of toe pitching, pass-the-flyer work, tumbling and nervous-system regulation. Prerequisite skills to film: L-base foot-to-hand low with long arms, hands-free star, reverse star, low H2H (any entrance), working on standing H2H (spotter okay), standing F2H with base squat x3 (flyer's knees straight), plus a skill you're most proud of.
Track B (upper intermediate/advanced): focuses on strength and timing for dynamic standing acrobatics (courbets, cascades, cannonball, drag-up, jaegers etc.), pitching variations, inlocate refinement, extended work, an introduction to group work (swinging, banquine, 3-high, T-toss), knots (2-in-1), one-arm/one-foot work, tumbling and nervous-system regulation. Prerequisite skills to film: 2 different entrances/exits to standing F2H and to standing H2H (twice in a row, unedited), 1 entry to standing reverse H2H (twice, unedited), 3 F2H and 3 H2H tempos without coming down (flyer's knees straight), standing side star, consistent straight pitch to hips, bum down, plus (flyers) two entrances to handstand and a 10-second freestanding handstand, (bases) 10-12 weighted squats and 10-12 push presses.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-4:30pm — daily warm-up/cool-down, 2 acro classes a day, daily open training time, private lessons, handstand classes, Olympic-lifting technique classes, and tumbling/air-sense classes.
