Terms and Conditions
Version 2026-09-19
I’m building acro-yoga.com to help people find each other, practise together and make community life a little easier. These terms explain what you can expect from the site and what we ask of each other.
Wording and contact details clarified on 12 October 2026.
1. The person behind the site
This is currently a personal project run by an individual based in France. When these terms say “I” or “me”, they mean the operator identified below. You can always reach me at hello.acroyoga@gmail.com.
Individual operator
Pierre Schweiger — the website operator and the person responsible for how the site uses personal data.
Postal address
14 rue du Buisset, 81170 Corde-sur-Ciel, France.
Acroyoga Community is the name planned for a future association. It is not an established association or the current operator. If that changes, I’ll update these details and tell members about any material changes.
2. Your data is here to help you use the site
I do not sell or rent your personal data to advertisers, data brokers or anyone else. The aim is to use information to make this community work, with as little intrusion as possible.
- Your account: login and contact details help you sign in, recover access and receive messages about your account.
- What you choose to share: profile details, photos, posts, messages, event interests and travel plans support the features you use. Check the visibility settings before sharing; content you make public can be seen and copied by others.
- Keeping things working: technical information helps operate the site, fix problems and protect people from abuse.
Not selling data does not mean that no information is shared. Service providers process information to supply hosting, login, email delivery, media storage and analytics. Other members or organisers receive information when the feature you use calls for it—for example, when you send someone a message. Information may also need to be disclosed to meet a legal obligation.
Umami provides limited website-visit statistics so I can understand which pages are useful. This integration uses no analytics cookies and does not send your account ID. It removes URL queries and fragments, masks certain personal route details, and respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. The cookie and browser-storage notice explains the details, including the private long-term analytics archive.
Accepting these terms is not consent to advertising, optional tracking or a newsletter. Newsletter sign-up is a separate choice. Where optional tracking needs consent, that choice must also be separate; refusing it does not prevent you from creating an account.
You can edit your profile and visibility settings, remove content through the available controls, or contact me to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your personal data. You may also have rights to object to or restrict a use of your data, and to withdraw consent where a use depends on it. You can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL, or another competent authority.
Account information is kept to provide the service while you use it. If you close your account or remove content, some records may still need to be kept for legal obligations, security or disputes, and backup copies may remain until their normal deletion cycle. Copies other people or external services have made are outside my control.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 to create or use an account and able to agree to these terms. This is the site’s membership policy. Please do not create an account for a minor or let a minor use yours. An underage account may be restricted or closed; contact me if you think there has been a mistake.
Use an email address you control, give accurate information and keep your sign-in details safe. Don’t impersonate someone else. If you think your account has been compromised, let me know. Signing in with Google is optional and does not replace accepting these terms.
4. Look after each other
Respect people’s boundaries and consent, both here and when you meet in person. Harassment, discrimination, threats, sexual exploitation, scams, spam, unlawful content and attempts to compromise the site are not allowed.
Only share content you own or have permission to use. Don’t publish someone else’s private information without an appropriate permission or lawful basis. Be honest about events, qualifications, prices and availability. A listing on the site is not an endorsement or verification unless it explicitly says so.
5. Your content stays yours
You keep ownership of your photos, writing and other content. You give me non-exclusive permission to store, process and display it as needed for the features you choose, following your visibility settings. This does not transfer ownership or give permission to use it for unrelated advertising.
You can remove content through the available controls or ask for help. The limits concerning legal records, backups and copies made by others are explained in the data section above.
6. Practise and make plans with care
Acroyoga involves a risk of injury. Consider your abilities, surroundings and partners, agree on consent and spotting, and seek qualified instruction when you need it. Website content is not personal medical advice or a guarantee that a movement, person or activity is safe for you.
Unless stated otherwise, events, teaching, accommodation, travel arrangements and products come from the organisers, members or sellers involved. Check their identity, suitability, prices, insurance and cancellation terms directly before committing. External services have their own terms and privacy practices.
These terms do not remove your mandatory consumer rights or exclude liability that the law does not allow me to exclude, including responsibility for my own conduct where the law requires it.
7. If something goes wrong
Use the reporting controls or email me about harmful content, behaviour or an intellectual-property concern. Include the relevant page and enough information to understand what happened.
I may remove content or restrict an account to address a breach of these terms, a legal obligation or a concrete safety or security concern. Where appropriate and legally permitted, I’ll explain why. You can ask for a review by email.
8. Leaving the site
You can stop using the site and request account deletion through the available settings or by contacting me. Closing your account does not cancel a booking or purchase you made with a separate organiser or seller.
9. Changes and disagreements
The site will evolve and may occasionally be unavailable. Material changes to account conditions will be identified by a new terms version and require a new acceptance. Changes do not take away rights you already have.
French law applies, while preserving any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. You keep your right to go to court or use an available complaint process. If something feels wrong, please contact me first so we can try to resolve it.
